Even QR code haters will love this innovative campaign
Korea is currently land of mobile innovation. RememberÂ Tesco’s subway QR code enabled shopping? Now Esmart have come up with an equally clever and innovative 3D QR code (fancy for Sundial QR code) campaign called Sunny Sale.
Esmart set out to boost lunch time sales byÂ giving people a unique lunch time shopping experience. This lead them to create a 3D QR code, using sunlight and shadow. This sundial based QR code only worked from 12pm to 1pm. Â Esmart says it saw a 25% increase in its lunch sales as a result of this marketing promotion.
Don’t you just love it when an advertising agency takes anÂ emergingÂ technologyÂ and comes up with a simple yet genius application for it! What’s even better is you don’t even have to be geekoid to see how clever thisÂ marketingÂ stunt is.
